FAQs

What is the purpose of the St. Michael’s Golf Club Foundation?

The foundation’s primary mission is to invest in the future of our club and support the broader community by expanding access to golf resources, training, and competitive opportunities. It aims to make golf more accessible for everyone while promoting sportsmanship, dedication, and community involvement.

How will the foundation support the club and community?

Funds raised by the foundation will benefit junior golfers and support improvements to club facilities and programs. These initiatives include facility upgrades, community outreach, and youth development programs, making St. Michael’s Golf Club a welcoming place for all.

How can members and the community support the foundation?

You can support the foundation in the following ways:

  • Participate in Events: Join our annual Golf Day, where entry fees and donations contribute directly to the foundation.

  • Sponsorship Opportunities: Businesses can sponsor activities and gain visibility at club events.

  • Direct Donations: All contributions, large or small, go directly towards foundation initiatives.

  • Volunteer: Assist in events, programs, and community outreach activities.

Who is eligible to participate in foundation programs?

Our programs are open to juniors of all skill levels and ages (typically between 7 and 18), as well as members and the community. We aim to make golf accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Will the foundation have regular events, and can members participate?

Yes, we’re hosting an annual event on 21st February 2025, which includes breakfast, a round of golf, lunch, presentations, and an auction. Members are welcome to participate through entry, sponsorship, or volunteering.

Are donations to the foundation tax-deductible?

Yes, as a registered non-profit organisation, all donations through the Australian Sports Foundation are tax-deductible. Donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes.
