Objectives

1. to promote, support, develop and maintain, generally the objects and property of the Club and its activities, facilities and the game of golf;

 

2. without limiting paragraph 1, to:

(i)  create opportunities for the Club to attract and retain the continued interest and financial support of Members;

(ii)  solicit donations and gifts to the Foundation and to, or for the benefit of, the Club from:

1. members of the Club;

2. former members of the Club;

3. relatives of members and former members of the Club;

4. Australian Sports Foundation; and

5. any other source the Directors consider appropriate;

(iii)  attract and encourage bequests and legacies and all other forms of deferred gifts to the Club or the Foundation or Australian Sports Foundation Ltd;

(iv) finance the acquisition or enhancement of land, buildings, facilities, water storages, machinery, equipment and any other property for the purposes or benefit of the Club; and

(v)  augment and assist the Club in achieving its capital expenditure programme from time to time;

 

3. to promote study, research and development by the Club and its Members and employees in the field of golf course maintenance, supervision, design and administration.

 

4. to promote and finance any and all activities and fields of endeavour whatsoever between the Club and any Affiliated Club as the Directors may from time to time deem appropriate;

 

5. to promote and finance activities and fields of endeavour which are directed towards the development of golfing skills within the existing and potential membership of the Club.

 

6. to relieve the immediate and ongoing financial needs of members who are in necessitous circumstances.
